Funeral service for Kelvin Gene Gothard, age 56, of Decatur, will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Clayton Bunn officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Gothard, who died Monday, March 11, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital, was born July 10, 1962, in Decatur, to Bobby Gene Gothard and Peggy Reynolds Gothard. He retired from Burningtree Country Club as shop foreman. He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Peggy Gothard of Decatur; fiance, Cynthia “Cindy” Spahr of Decatur; one sister, Vickie Gothard Mink (Paul) of Birmingham; two nephews, Todd J. Mink (Amanda), and Gregg A Mink (Libby); and great-nephews and great-niece, Mason, Wyatt, Cooper, and Layna Mink.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Decatur Animal Services, 300 Beltline Road, S.W., Decatur, AL 35601.
