Obituary for Kenneth Hollinsworth Kenneth A. Hollinsworth of Merced, California, was born on September 23, 1932, a son to the late Fred V. Hollinsworth and the late Mary Irene (Weeks) Hollinsworth. Kenneth peacefully entered Heaven’s Gates on Thursday, March 27, 2018 at the age of eighty-five. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Louise (Rhodes) Hollinsworth and nephew, Brooke Elliott Nickelson.

Ken is survived by his dear sister, Sharon J. Smith and husband John D.; niece, Alisa (Smith) Nickelson and husband Stephen and their children: Ben, Graham and Grace; nephew, Allan D. Smith and wife Tiffany (Feezor) Smith and their two sons: Christian and Cameron; also surviving are cousins, friends and fond acquaintances that were more than one could ever count. Ken was so very emotionally connected with his sister and J.D. Distance was only found on a map. Phone calls, letters, trips and packages ensured the connection was forever strong.

Ken was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Merced, CA. where he humbly served as a Lay Liturgist for decades. Ken was past president of Merced Host Lions Club and served as Supreme Knight of the Knight’s of Columbus.

Ken attended the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Agriculture. His calling to serve our country took precedence in his life pursuits when he choose to join the Armed Forces as an Airman First Class. He traveled the world during his dedicated time and contribution to our country.

Ken’s favorite past times were spending time with his family and friends, fishing, gardening, cooking (all who shared his delicious creations truly considered him a Chef Extraordinaire), beautiful Photography, and his world travels. His gift of sharing stories and experiences with humor will be missed the most by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. held at the Belgrade United Methodist Church with Rev.

Jan Dillard officiating. Ken will receive full military honors presented by the United States Air Force and VFW Post 6947. Local arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home,Potosi, Missouri.
