Obituary for Kenneth James “Jim” McElroy A Celebration of Life for Kenneth James “Jim” McElroy will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Osage Oaks Church of God, 9218 N. Yukon, Sperry, OK 74073. Jim was Born May 11, 1947 in Harrison, AR to parents Horris and Irene McElroy. Jim died March 16, 2018 at his home in Claremore, OK.
He was 70. Jim graduated from Broken Arrow Public Schools in 1966, spent time in the Army, and later Jim was the owner of McElroy Roofing in Broken Arrow, OK. His favorite pass time was doing crossword puzzles, playing and watching Golf, Fishing, going to the Casino, and just being outdoors with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife Kathy J. McElroy of the home; 6 children: daughters Ginger Smith, of Claremore, Katrina Smith of Claremore, Stacey Smith of Tulsa; sons Matthew McElroy of Brunswick, GA, Travis McElory of Brunswick GA, and Kyle Summers of Tulsa; 4 brothers, and 2 sisters He has 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Come and celebrate Jim’s life on Friday.
Pastor Jerry Harper will be officiating the service and lunch will follow. Jim McElroy was an Amazing husband, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
