Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth Lee Kroll, 74, Bismarck, went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2019, at 3:55 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 23, at Gracepoint Church, 205 43rd Ave NE, Bismarck, with Rev. Chad Englund officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, February 22, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave. , Bismarck. Kenneth was born June 5, 1944, at his grandparent’s, John and Edna Weber, farm, two miles south of Napoleon, ND, the son of Viola and Wilbert Kroll, the oldest of two children.

His dad walked through pouring rain to get the doctor because he had no vehicle when Kenneth was born. Kenneth attended rural school, then later Napoleon Public School. He attended and graduated from cooking school at Devils Lake, ND.

He built and owned Kroll’s Kitchen in Bismarck. Later, he worked as chef and manager in several restaurants in Bismarck-Mandan-West Fargo. He then worked at Jewel-Osco Buttery Food Co., Moorhead, MN, Lucas Western Gear, Unison Bank in Jamestown, and he retired from Unison Bank in September 2006.

Kenneth married Betty J. Kruckenberg on September 20, 1969. They celebrated life together by extensive travels by bus tours in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe; ice and shore fishing, gardening, collecting antique furniture, antique cookie jars, and other treasures. The couple loved attending concerts, plays, and visiting with family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Betty; brother, Kevin (Audrey); nephews, Lucas, Samuel, and William Kroll; sisters-in-law, Viola (Ervin) Schielke, Marlys (James) Schock, Boise ID, Arlys (Charles) Crump; brothers-in-law, Carl Knutson, Clayton Kruckenberg, Clinton (Wanda) Kruckenberg, Dwight (Claudia) Kruckenberg; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Viola Kroll; grandparents, John and Edna Weber, Albert and Mary Kroll; brother-in-law, Milton Kruckenberg; sisters-in-law, Arlene E. Knutson and Margarie Kruckenberg; and many aunts and uncles.
