Kermit Lynn Pugh August 17, 1965 – January 02, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kermit Lynn Pugh, 53, of French Creek passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2019. He was born in Buckhannon on August 17, 1965 a son of Patricia Ilean Cogar Pugh of Buckhannon, and the late Dallas Kermit Pugh. On June 21, 2003 he married the love of his life Edna May Morrison and she will greatly miss him.

In addition to his mother and wife, Kermit is also survived by two children: Richard Tucker and Charles Cutright both of French Creek; three grandchildren: Caiden, Kyler and Luna; one grandchild on-the-way; three sisters: Lynda (Steffon) Scott, Brenda (Timothy) Cogar, and Susie (Rusty) Herndon all of Buckhannon; five nieces: Steffany, Bethanie, Vanessa, Lexi, and Liz; one nephew, Trey; three great nieces and nephew: Chandalea, Robbie, and Kendal; one great niece on-the-way; family members of the heart: Dave (Kavy) Kelley, Sharon (Ted) Grandinette, and Beth (Bill) Huddleston; and his beloved fox terrier, Roxy. Kermit attended elementary school in Webster County before moving to Upshur County in 1980 where he began attending the 10th grade. He graduated as a member of the Class of 1985 from Buckhannon-Upshur High School.

After graduation Kermit was an active member of the Adrian Fire Department for 25 years. He was a custodian for the Upshur County Board of Education for over 32 years. Kermit also worked at Skateland for 14 years and at Village Hardware for the last 12 years.

Kermit enjoyed hunting in the beautiful Almost Heaven West Virginia. He collected many antique cars, but his favorite was his 1965 Ford Falcon. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Kermit loved everyone and could always be found at school functions volunteering his time. Kermit also enjoyed attending auctions with his brother-in-law, Joe. Above all Kermit treasured his time spent with family including his Yorkie niece, Bella.

Kermit had a kind and generous heart and will be missed by many. Friends and family will gather at Christian Fellowship Church located at 56 Fellowship Way in Buckhannon from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor J. Edward McDaniels officiating.
