Obituary for Kerry Haney Weathers Kerry Haney Weathers of Whitesburg, GA went into the arms of Jesus her Savior and to her Eternal home on Friday, November 2, 2018. She was predeceased by her father, Odis C. Haney, brothers Frank and Terry Haney, grandparents H.C.(Dick) and Mittie Bell Davis. She is survived by her mother, Frances D. Haney, sisters Faye Jackson, Kayren (Bruce) Clark, Dolores “Dee” Cagle, and brothers Harry and Don Haney.
Also a special niece Kristy Haney and her “Little Heart” Destin. Having no children of her own, she was the beloved “Favorite Aunt” to 12 nieces, 6 nephews and their spouses plus a host of grand and great nieces and nephews whom she loved each one in a special way. Kerry had countless other family and friends who will also miss her.
She retired from the Georgia Secretary of State Department as a State Inspector. She loved music of any kind (favorite song: “The Baptist Hymnal”), playing the piano and baritone ukulele, books of any genre especially her Bible, her home in the woods, family gatherings, being on the lake and fishing, the beach in Florida, games on Facebook, and most of all her clowder of cats! in His providence God called Kerry home to His loving arms and she is rejoicing in her eternal home.
It is our loss and sadness to know her loving, generous, kind, tenderhearted, humorous and unique personality is no longer in our presence, but we rejoice in knowing she is with the Savior whom she loved and we have confidence we will also join her in His time. The Haney Family invites you to join us Saturday, November 10, 2018 for a time of Visitation and Remembrance from 2pm -4pm followed by a Celebration of Kerry’s Life at 4pm at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263.
