Obituary for Robert “Bob” Thomas Stephens It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Thomas Stephens announces his passing on Thursday, November 1st, at the age of 74 years. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy and his son Robert and daughter-in-law Melani of Cumming, GA. Bob will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Ashley, Victoria, Madison and Joshua, by his brothers Jimmy (Trish) Stephens of Oceanside, CA and Michael (Elizabeth) Stephens of Atlanta, GA.

Bob was preceded in death by his sisters Marie and Diane. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www. mckoon.com Bob grew up in Atlanta attending Immaculate Conception and St Pius X before graduating from Fulton High School.

After graduation, Bob joined the Navy and served 4 years aboard the USS Enterprise. During this time he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy. After returning home from service, Bob became a Georgia State Trooper and ultimately retired as Sergeant First Class and Post Commander in LaGrange, GA.

After retirement Bob enjoyed golf, civil war history, his grandkids and trips to the gulf coast. A Memorial Service in memory of Bob will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan GA 30263 with Pastor Greg Morris officiating. The family will receive friends at 1PM until service time.
