Obituary for Samuel “Sam” Dodd Shearman Samuel Dodd Shearman, 48 years old, passed away December 23, 2018 with his loving wife and sister by his side. He was born on January 28, 1970 in Orlando, Florida to Samuel M. Shearman and LeNeil P. Shearman. Sam was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother, and uncle.

Among his many accomplishments, Sam was a successful and humble electrical engineer, systems processor, senior product manager, and author. He will be remembered as a caring, friendly and kind person who brought his intelligence, joy and laughter to everyone. Sam was a gentle soul who was loved by all.

Sam is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Vanessa Shearman. He is also survived by his three children: Declan Shearman, 18; Rowan Shearman, 15; Iain Shearman, 12; and stepson Daniel L. Smith, 23. He is also survived by his father, Samuel M. Shearman, dear sister Beth Shearman Willis, her husband David Willis, and their daughter Casey Willis.

He is preceded in death by mother, LeNeil P. Shearman, and daughter, Sophie V. Shearman. They are now united in Heaven, and are angels watching over each of us. We will gather together and cherish time celebrating and honoring the life of Sam D. Shearman.

Memorials will be planned and occur in Florida and Texas, so that family and many friends can be present to celebrate his life and how he made our lives richer and joyful. Dates to be announced soon. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.
