Service for Kevin Daniel Stone, 55, of Lubbock, will be held at 2:00PM Saturday November 3rd at Agape Funeral Chapel, With Greg McCowan Officiating. He passed away October 17, 2018. Kevin was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 26, 1963 to Kathrine Miller, and lovingly adopted by Leland and Julie Stone.

He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School for Elementary, the Albuquerque Academy for Middle School, and finally St. Pius High School, where he was active in football and weightlifting. During his high school career he found his true passion in life: cars. Kevin loved cars, planes, and motorcycles.

He worked in various car industry fields, gaining an incredible wealth of knowledge, until he was able to open up Master Tech Automotive and Tire in the late 1980’s in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1989, Kevin, his wife Diana, and daughter Christine, re-located from Albuquerque to Lubbock, Texas. Master Tech Automotive and Tire moved as well, and the business became one of the most reputable automotive shops in Lubbock.

Kevin had a strong work ethic: to do everything with excellence. He built enduring relationships with his customers, who were more like his friends. Kevin also had a huge heart for ministry and was an active member at Covenant Life Fellowship.

He had a great love of music and played seven instruments including piano, classical guitar, and bass. Above all, he fiercely and unashamedly loved God, his beautiful wife, his daughter. All in all, Kevin really cared for all people, loving them with his amazing and giving heart.

He had a big personality, big opinions, and always passionately followed his convictions. He loved to tell stories, share insight, and make everyone around him laugh. Kevin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Diana, his daughter Christine and son-in-law Clark Mott, his mother Julie Stone, his sister Desiree Stone, his father Leland Stone and his wife Jane, as well as many nieces and nephews.
