Kevin Ellis, 56, of Oskaloosa, died at his home in Oskaloosa. He was born February 22, 1962, in Oskaloosa the son of Willard and Naomi Faulkner Ellis. Growing up he was involved in Boy Scouts troop 71.

Kevin attended Oskaloosa High School and enjoyed playing in the marching band before graduating in 1980. Following high school Kevin worked various places in and around Oskaloosa, until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

He looked forward to hunting morel mushrooms every spring. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Kevin was very caring and was willing to help anyone in need.

His family includes his aunts, uncles, cousins, his nephew, Craig Bahnsen and his niece, Jennifer Kokke. Kevin is also survived by his close friends, Mike, Gene and Dick. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Keith Ellis; and his sister, Karen Ellis.
