Obituary for Kimberly Dawn Kotara ARLINGTON/MANSFIELD – Kimberly Dawn Kotara (Coach K), 40, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018. With her Faith, Hope, Love and strong positive attitude and with a smile on her face she fought hard to win a two and a half year battle with Stage four metastasized cancer. We have joy in knowing she is no longer in pain and is with our Lord.

Heaven gained another angel and that angel is looking down on her precious children. Coach K as she was known at Cora Spencer Elementary and loved by everyone battled her cancer journey with a determination like no other. She never wanted to miss work and miss seeing the faces of the students she served in PE.

Coach K loved her job. It was more than a job, it was a passion to impact children’s lives. She loved seeing the students every day and the students loved her!

Coach K will be dearly missed at Cora Spencer, but her legacy and positive attitude will not be forgotten. Kim was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Maxie Lewandowski and Albert Kotara. She leaves behind her parents, Ray and Wanda Kotara; son, Nathaniel Wood; daughter, Alexis Wood; brother, Eric (Sussann) Kotara; grandmothers, Rosalie Lewandowski and Evelyn Kotara; nephew, Elijah Kotara; extended family and many close friends; Nate and Lexi’s father, Ronald Wood.
