Kimberly’s Obituary A memorial ceremony honoring and remembering Kimberly Tyanne Thompson will be held 3 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore. Kim passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 57. Born October 16th, 1961 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Kim was the daughter of Ted and Lila Payne.

She grew up in South Carolina and met Buddy Thompson while he was working road construction in the area. The couple moved back to Buddy’s hometown in Claremore where they married and spent 30 years together. Kim worked at the J.M. Davis Gun Museum for 16 years.

She loved traveling to South Carolina to visit family. She was outgoing and you always knew where you stood with her. Kim loved Nascar and she was a big Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

She truly cared for others no matter where she was in life. Kim lived her life to the fullest every chance she got. She may be gone physically, but her spirit and smile will always live on.

Surviving family members include her husband, Buddy Thompson; her mother, Lila Pritchett; and her children: Nikki Jones, Johnna Jones, Johnny Jones, and Bailey Thompson; and her grandchildren: Dakota, Cage, Kenzlee, and Joseph. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Ted Payne; her nephew, Timmy Vinson; and her cousin, Corey Land.
