Kirby Charles Robidoux, Jr. July 18, 1975 – February 13, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kirby Charles Robidoux, Jr. “Mechewah”, 43, of Falls City, Nebraska, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 13, 2019, of natural causes while on patrol for the Sac & Fox Police Department. A Celebration of Kirby’s life is planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Pritchard Auditorium, Falls City, with Pastor Rich Lehmkuhl officiating. Interment will follow at Steele Cemetery, Falls City.

Friends may call at the Auditorium after 12 noon Tuesday where the family will meet from 6 until 8 that evening. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kirby Robidoux Memorial Fund, sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha, KS 66434. Kirby was born in Anaheim, California, July 18, 1975, born to Kirby Charles Sr. and Susanne Ovalle Robidoux.

Kirby grew up in El Dorado Hills, California where he attended school, moving to Kansas at age 18. He worked at various jobs before becoming interested in law enforcement. At age 21, he attended and graduated the first of three law enforcement academies: Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center with the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

His early years with law enforcement were spent with Sac & Fox Tribal Police prior to working for Phillips County, KS Sheriff Department as a deputy. He returned to Sac & Fox to serve as the chief of the Tribal Police before moving to Oklahoma to serve as lieutenant for the BIA. Kirby returned to area in 2015 and was currently serving as a deputy for the Richardson County Sheriff, working part-time for Sac & Fox Tribal Police Department.

Kirby was currently serving on the City Council at Falls City. He was also a tribal member of Sac & Fox and had served on the Tribal Council. Kirby was married to Sondra Davis, August 9, 2008 at Reno, Nevada.

They made their home in Falls City all their married life. She survives of the home. Also surviving are two daughters Ashlee Kopf (Cody) of Humboldt, NE, Nova Smith of Falls City; his mother Susanne Shearer of Sacramento, CA; a brother Jesse Robidoux (Regina) of San Diego, CA, two sisters: Brigette Robidoux of Hiawatha, and Amber Robidoux of Lodi, CA, with several nieces and nephews.

Kirby was preceded in death by his father.
