OBITUARY L. Allene Key January 31, 1934 – November 8, 2018 L. Allene Key, 84, went to be with her Lord on November 8, 2018. She was born January 31, 1934 in Blevins, Arkansas. In 1951, at the age of 17, with her new husband Charles Harris Key, she moved to Houston.

Allene was a homemaker, wife, mom and grandmother who babysat all her life. She worked in the nurseries at Rittenhouse Church and Bridgestone Baptist Church for years. Her kids and grandkids were everything to her.

She showed that love by being sure there was always food and especially baked goods for you any time you showed up at her house. She also loved to crochet and attending Memorial Baptist Church. Allene was preceded in death by her husband Charlie and her son Charles Ray Key.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Peggy Loftin and husband Mike; grandchildren: Michelle Holt and husband Josh, Shaune Key, Jeffrey Loftin and wife Mandy, Alicia Price and husband Jarvis, Al Ray Key and wife Jessica; sister Nadene Griffin, Rebecca Thompson and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for services at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018.

The funeral will be Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside, with the interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
