LaNe”s Obituary LaNe’ Johnson Goff age 70, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mac Enfinger officiating.

LaNe’ was a truly devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong educator and Christian counselor. LaNe’ was a Magna cum Laude graduate of Mercer University with a major in English and minors in music and primary education, she also held a Masters degree in secondary education from Georgia College.

She taught school in Athens, Leesburg, Griffin and at Baldwin High School. LaNe’ taught Sunday School in Griffin and in Milledgeville, and also served as Church Pianist in Dawson for many years. To LaNe’, family always comes first, even when she was diagnosed with MS in 1989, and she continued teaching until her retirement in 2000.

She was preceded in death by: Me-Mommie and De-Daddy Peevy (grandparents), Weyman and Dixie Johnson (parents). She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville. Survived by her childhood sweet heart and husband of 48 years Butch Goff; sons Judd Goff (Elizabeth) and Jarrad Goff (Tamber) grandchildren Palmer, Lillian, Felicity, Larkin and Lucas; brothers Weyman Johnson Jr. and David Johnson.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Music Department at First United Methodist Church of Milledgeville, the Music Department at First Baptist Church of Griffin or to the National MS Society. Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
