Obituary for Larry Calvin Windeknecht Larry Calvin Windeknecht, 78, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Southeast Hospital. He was born August 7, 1940 in Egypt Mills, Missouri to Norman Dunn and Lillian Windeknecht. He and Norma Swader were married September 25, 1963 at Chicago, Illinois.

He was a graduate of Sikeston Trade School in 1968. He owned an upholstery business for over 30 years. He also taught upholstery in Saint Louis.

Survivors include his two daughters, Linda (Dennis Middleton) Crader of Cape Girardeau and Vicki (Clay) Phelps of Advance, Missouri; three sons, John (Laura) Windeknecht of Cape Girardeau, David (Tana) Windeknecht of Chaffee and Gene Windeknecht of St. Louis, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and proud great-grandfather of newborn twins, Noah and Jacob Phelps. Also left behind are his two feline companions, Chopper and Gigi. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.

Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at McLain Chapel Cemetery in Oriole. Memorial contributions may be given to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary .
