Larry Dwane Werner August 07, 1948 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card CIMARRON – Larry Dwane Werner, 70, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born August 7, 1948 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Herman and Laverne (Immroth) Werner. He was a lifetime area resident.

He served in the United States Army for 2 years. He then went to work for the Gray County Road Department where he retired after 45 years as a road foramen. Larry belonged to the NRA.

He also loved his dogs and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gun collecting, grilling and yard work. He was a devoted Grandpa to his granddaughter Braylee. On March 3, 1972 he married DeLoris Interman at Mennonite Brethern Church in Cimarron, Kansas.

The celebrated 47 years together. Survivors include: his wife, DeLoris Werner, Cimarron; his son, Chris Werner and wife Devin, Cimarron; his sister, Sue Byers, Cimarron; his granddaughter, Braylee Werner, Cimarron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church, Cimarron with David Johnson officiating. There will be no public visitation, cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Cimarron Cemetery, Cimarron.

The family suggests memorials to the Grandchild’s Scholarship Fund in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 446, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.
