Obituary for Larry Eugene Timmerman Larry Eugene Timmerman, born August 27, 1948 in Williamson, NY, transitioned peacefully surrounded by his friends on Friday, September 28, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Larry lived in Upstate New York until he was 30 and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He then lived in Bay St. Louis, MS and eventually moved to Memphis, TN in 1995.

Larry is survived by his long-time friend William Johns, his foster sister Elaine DeMay Herman and his son, Thomas Eugene Timmerman. An expert in antiques and cut glass, Larry was a member of the Cut Glass Association and was the former co-owner of Antique Warehouse Mall on Summer Ave. in Memphis.

Larry’s friends knew him as generous and kind to others, a lucky card player, fishing enthusiast and a gardener extraordinaire. Most of all, they will miss his unmistakable, hearty laugh and his abundance of positive attitude and fighting spirit during his many bouts with cancer. He loved his friends deeply and was an inspiration to many.

Larry was greatly loved in return. A visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at Canale Funeral Directors. Memorial donations are invited to be sent to the Hancock County Historical Society in Bay Saint Louis, MS where Larry will be laid to rest.
