Larry Gene Stanfield “Candy Man”, 71, of Florence, passed away on March 16, 2019 at his residence. He was a member of Pipefitter’s TVA Local 360. Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Greg Reynolds and Tom Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freidia Renee Throop ; parents, Ervin and Edna Gooch Stanfield; son, Larry Gene, Jr.; and siblings, Jimmy Stanfield and Jeanette Vickery.

Survivors include his son, Robert Theophilus Stanfield (Amanda); daughters, Cherhonda Stanfield Gilliam (Phillip) and Rachel Leona Stanfield(Richard); sisters, Ginger Strait (Willie) and Sherry Abernathy; grandchildren, Erica Nix (Shawn), Joseph Griffin(Cheyenne), Hope Stanfield(Dusty), Faith, Grace, and Bella Stanfield, Garrett Thorne, Krystal Maze and special grandchild, Bianca van Vurren; great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Gage Nix and Castiel Griffin. Serving as pallbearers will be Perry Gooch, TC Barnett, Chad Shook, William Barnett, Mike Fox and Dwight Berry. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Griffin, Dewayne Vickery, Roger Vickery, Michael Strait, Jeff Crouch and Anthony Crouch.
