Rubye Mae Light, 97, of Florence, passed away on March 07, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center. She was a member of Underwood Baptist Church and retired from Simmons Mattress Company as a welder. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Underwood Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Underwood Baptist Church.

Reverend Nick Harris, Reverend Donnie McDaniel, Reverend Jason Harris and Reverend Doug Farris will be officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iven Russell and Freida Russell Bailey; brothers, Bill Russell and James Russell and sisters, Millie Deibel and Frances Russell.

Survivors include her husband, James Light of Florence; daughter, Carol Harris (Nick) of Ovilla, Texas; brothers, Paul Russell (Annetta) of Vardaman, Mississippi and Pat Easley (Harold) of Houston, Mississippi; grandchildren, Kim Harris,Jason Harris and Heather Treadaway (Brian); great-grandchildren, Briana Vanderburg (Caleb), Hollie Vanderburg (Ryan) ,Hunter Treadaway (Brooke), Taylor Treadaway and Truett Treadaway, Faith, Felicia, Josiah, Emily, and Micaiah Harris; great-great-grandchildren, Rylie Vanderburg and Ashton Vanderburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Landon Smith, Brian Treadaway, Truett Treadaway, Tony McCombs, Jason Harris and Jim Hewett.
