Martha Williams Thompson, 82 of Florence, AL passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019. She was a native of Cullman, AL and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 10-11:30 am at Highland Baptist Church.

The funeral service will follow at 11:30 am with Rev Chris Underwood Officiating. Entombment will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence is assisting the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Marcus Thompson; parents, Herman and Ruth Williams; brother in law, Billy Don Weaver. Survivors include her son, Jon Marcus Thompson (Lora) of Grayson, GA; daughters, Georgia Thompson Cunningham of Florence, Ashley Thompson Darty (Keith) of Northport, AL; grandchildren, Sara Thompson, Elizabeth Drew Thompson, Evan Thompson; brother, Herman Williams (Tina); sisters, Gail Williams Weaver and Barbara Williams Robertson (William Shore).
