Funeral services for Larry Guy Lansdale, 68, of Gilmer, will be held at 10:00 am. , Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Thompson, Bro.

Leon Ross and Bro. Michael Pool officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Larry was born September 24, 1950, to Gussie Junior Lansdale and Dorothy Mae Saxon Lansdale, in Little Hope, Texas, and went to be with his Heavenly Father May 26, 2019, at Medical City Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas. He married Deborah Yvonne Tucker.

Larry loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart which impacted so many lives. He was a member of the Gilmer Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years serving as chaplain. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lansdale; son, Thomas Lansdale; sister, Shirley Hoffpauir and husband, Jack; by his mother, Dorothy Lansdale; and several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Junior Lansdale and by his sister, Ronda Lansdale. Pallbearers will be Michael Pool, Nathan Gann, James Jones, Stephen Gipson, Michael O’Connor, Keith Faulkner, Kevin Philley, Mike Melton and David Loftis. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gilmer Fire Department.
