Laura’s Obituary Laura M. Clary, age 88, Joplin, passed away at 5:39 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Mercy Hospital after an illness. Laura was born November 16, 1930 in Joplin to the late William V. Petty and Lindsey P. Smith Petty and had lived in Joplin all of her life. Laura worked as a truck driver; longtime owner of a beauty salon; owner of a local cafe and several years in sales at Famous Barr.

In her spare time, she enjoyed golf; playing pool; sewing; reading and making wine spritzers. Laura will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons; one daughter, her step daughter, Laurie Tandy, Joplin; best friend, Virginia Farris, Joplin; good friend, Gloria; and her fur baby, Bandy.

A memorial visitation is planned for Thursday from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
