Obituary of Laura Ledwa Laura L. Ledwa, age 46, of Shorewood, passed away suddenly, April 12, 2018 at home. Born December 16, 1971 in Geneva, IL she worked as a retail grocery clerk for many years. Laura was a kind and generous woman who always put the needs of others before her own.

She was full of love and knew no strangers. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and a dear daughter.

She was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan, and her favorite movie was “A Christmas Story”. Surviving are her beloved husband, Michael Ledwa of Shorewood; five children, Joe Ledwa, Josh (Michelle) Ledwa, Jake (Alyssa) Ledwa, Michael (Jessica) Ledwa and Kimberly Ledwa; three grandchildren, Hunter, Brooklyn and Alex; her mother and step-father, Linda and Vern Larson; and her father, Dennis Puncochar. She was preceded in death by one son, Jonah Michael Ledwa; and one sister, Cathy Larson.

Visitation for Laura Ledwa will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Interment will be private. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
