Obituary of George Ricci, Jr. George L. Ricci, Jr. passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on April 7, 2018 after a lengthy illness. George was born in Healdsburg on January 20, 1937. George grew up on Limerick Lane surrounded by prune trees, grapes and family.

He attended Grant school, Healdsburg high and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in social work. George was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon his return, he obtained employment with the County of Sonoma, Health and Human Services working with seniors for the next 35 years.

After his retirement, George moved into town where you may have seen him attending St. Johns church or doing his daily five-mile walk through town. George enjoyed theatrical performances, music, movies, dancing, Starbucks, and SF Giants games. However, his favorite time was spent with family and friends.

His parents, Anna and George Sr., his brother Eugene Ricci and nephew Chuck Ricci preceded George in death. He is survived by his sister-in-law Darlene Ricci; sister Michelle Ricci, Roberts; his nephew, Jim (Debbie); great-nephews and nieces; Eugene (Susan); Holli; Falynn; Ashley; Anthony; Nathan; Steven; Samantha; Stephanie; Sierra and many more. All are welcome to attend services: Rosary held this Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., followed by funeral mass on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., both at St. John’s Catholic Church of Healdsburg, CA.

Burial after mass will take place at Oak Mound Cemetery with military honors. We would especially like to thank the staff at Healdsburg Senior Living Center, Memory Care 1 for their kindness and care.
