Obituary of Michael Molinaro Michael “Mike” Molinaro, of Geyserville, CA passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born July 10, 1951 and grew up in Burbank, CA. After High School, Mike served in the Vietnam War (September 1970 – April 1972) as a Sergeant with the US Army.

Following an honorable discharge, he married his High School sweetheart, Teri, in June 1973. Mike worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and owned a motorcycle shop, but it was the job he took as a long haul truck driver that brought him and his family to Sonoma County in 1987. Settling in Geyserville, he spent the last 30 years working as a vineyard mechanic.

Mike took an active role in local youth sports, coaching both his son, Lance, and daughter, Myra in baseball, basketball and softball. One of Mike’s fondest memories is being a part of one of the first local Little League TOC teams. He loved all sports and was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodger fan.

Among other passions, Mike was an avid fisherman; he loved nothing more than stream fishing in the Sierras. Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Teri Molinaro; daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Michael Cureton; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Jeunee Molinaro; grandchildren, Draven, Phoenix and Trinity Molinaro; sister and brother-in-law, Carmel and Paul Knight; brother, John Molinaro; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Theresa Molinaro, and son, Jason John Molinaro.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Healdsburg to be followed by graveside services at Olive Hill Cemetery in Geyserville. A reception will immediately follow at the Geyserville Grange Hall. All are welcome to attend as we celebrate Mike’s life.
