Obituary for LaVonda Augusta Bullard LaVonda Augusta Bullard passed away on June 9, 2018 in Flower Mound, TX. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home at 3550 Firewheel Drive in Flower Mound, TX. Born on June 3, 1944 in Beaumont, TX, LaVonda was the eldest daughter of Norman and Francis Smith.

She is survived by her brother Norman Smith and his wife Norma Smith, and sister Quida Bellows and her husband Paul Bellows. She is also survived by her children Randy Bullard and wife Angie Bullard, Brad Bullard and wife Elaine Bullard, and Shannon (Bullard) Walthall and husband Jay Walthall, and her grandchildren Katherine Bullard, Stephanie Bullard, John Bullard, Ryann Matthews, Seann Matthews, Taylor Walthall, Garrett Walthall, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. LaVonda grew up on Cherrybrook Lane in east Dallas, just a few houses down from her grandparents.

She was a graduate of WW Samuell High School in Dallas, TX. She married John L Bullard on Feb 15, 1964, and they settled in North Dallas to raise their three children. LaVonda was a dedicated full time mother while her children were young, and was heavily involved in school and neighborhood activities.

In the early 1980s LaVonda began her professional career working as an office manager for many years in the temporary staffing and HR services industry. In recent years she attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, TX and Watermark Church in Dallas, TX where she embraced her faith in Jesus Christ and participated in worship and fellowship with her family. LaVonda is remembered for the large family gatherings she often hosted over the years for Christmas and Thanksgiving, and for the Labor Day end of summer parties she would host for extended family at Cedar Creek Lake.

She was a friend and loved family member to many, and brought smiles and laughter into the lives of the people she was with. She leaves a legacy of generosity, kindness and humor that will be cherished and missed. Upcoming Events Memorial 2018 JUN 23.
