Lawrence Carl Spencer, age 75, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Newnan surrounded by family. Carl, as he was known by friends and family, was born on January 8, 1944 in Atlanta, GA to the late William Henry Spencer and Jessie Turner Spencer. Carl is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Sandra Langston Spencer; children, William Spencer and his wife Stephanie, Bryan Stowe Spencer; grandchildren, Briana Nicole Spencer, Teresa Marie Spencer and sister, Jeta Allgood.

Carl was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time outdoors. When he wasn’t on the golf course, Carl enjoyed spending his time with friends and family. A service celebrating Carl’s life will be held at a later date.
