Lawrence E. Harmon Jr., 79, of Bristol, husband of Carol (Doty) Harmon passed away Saturday November 3, 2018 at home. Lawrence was born November 7, 1938 in Milo, Maine, son of the late Lawrence E. Harmon Sr. and Violet (York) Harmon. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by the former New Departure Co. of Bristol and was also a bus driver for First Student. He loved to play cribbage and won many tournaments and also loved to travel. In addition to his wife he leaves his daughter Roxanne Tonn and her husband Peter of Terryville; his grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Amber, Jared and Nathan and his great grandchildren, Jonah, Savana and Monroe.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Harmon and a brother, Gary Harmon. A memorial service will be held 2PM on Friday at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville. Burial with military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Terryville.
