Lawrence “Larry”‘s Obituary Lawrence “Larry” Forney, age 66, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the V.A. Hospital in Grand Island. Services are pending at McKown Funeral Home. Lawrence R. “Larry” Forney was born November 12, 1952 in Los Angeles, California to Robert and Dorothy (Griffiths) Forney.

He grew up in David City where he received his education at David City Public Schools. He served in the United States Army as a field medic. He continued his service in the National Guard.

Larry worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a dirt track racer for over 20 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandsons.

Larry is survived by: Son: Chad Forney of Seward Son: Lee (Mollie) Forney of Columbus 6 grandsons Brother: Skip (Nancy) Forney of Boston Brother: Tim (Kim) Forney of Columbus Brother: Bryan (Mary) Forney of David City He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert & Dorothy Forney, brothers: James, Bruce and Roy Forney.
