Obituary for Lawrence Lee Thompson “Larry” Lawrence Lee Thompson ‘Larry’ passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018 in South Jordan, Utah with his Son and Daughter by his side. Larry was born on December 21, 1939 in Burbank, California to Clifford and Denah Thompson. Larry was the youngest of his siblings Robert Thompson and Patsy Lewis.

Larry earned his degree at San Jose State University, and later served in the Army National Guard. He then pursued a career in Commercial Real Estate serving in numerous roles including Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Organization Development just to name a few. Larry received countless awards for Leadership and Vision during his career.

Larry married in California, where he and wife Cathy started a family then moved to Phoenix where they raised their children. Larry later married Margi where they began their life together in Long Beach, CA spending almost 20 years in Belmont Shore, and the past year in Boise, Idaho. He would hand out dog treats to all the pups, combining his love of animals with his interest in striking up a conversation with passersby.

He loved to cook and entertain, often deviating from recipes to add his own touch. Everyone who knew Larry knew that his love of Costco was unsurpassed. Larry is survived by his wife Marjorie Thompson, son Stephen Thompson, daughter Jennifer Rosas, step children Matthew Schoolfield and Rebekah McKernan and his 7 grandchildren.

Larry was one of the kindest, warmest, friendliest individuals you could ever meet. A memorial will be held at Cornerstone Church (1000 N Studebaker Rd, Long Beach, CA) on Saturday, January 19 at 11am. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.
