Leamon “Slim” Parker, Sr. July 13, 1936 – January 12, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Leamon Adolphus “Slim” Parker Sr., age 82, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas following an extended illness. Leamon Adolphus Parker was born July 13, 1936, in Denison, Texas the son of Leamon and Octavia Parker. He attended Terrell High School and received his formal education.

After graduation, Leamon enlisted with the military, serving in the Army and Air force. After receiving his honorable discharge, he returned to Denison and was employed with Covey Manufacturer Company, retiring after 25 years. Leamon “Slim” Parker united with Iron Ore Baptist Church thus serving as the Elder Deacon until his health begin to fail.

He also was a master mason. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 64 years Odelia, four children, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Iron Ore Baptist Church -1400 Dubois Street Denison, Texas.

Rev. Craig T. Ewing is the Host Pastor and Rev. Michael Braxton, Sr. will officiate.

Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Denison. Public visitation will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Arrangements have been entrusted to James E. Smith and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home.
