Obituary for Lela E. Hawkins Lela Eileen (Brandt) Hawkins, 57, of Fort Gibson was born January 11, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa to Marlin Sr. and Arlene (Gillen) Brandt and peacefully passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Fort Gibson with her family by her side. Lela grew up in Manitou, OK where she received her formal education. She was a chef and always worked in the kitchen in the local café of every town she lived in.

Cooking and family were her passions in life. Lela is preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Brandt; a sister, Susie Aldrich and nephew, Adam Aldrich. She is survived by her father, Marlin Brandt Sr. of Streator, IL; sons, Tyler Breeze of Muskogee, OK and Dakota Breeze and daughter in law Elzbietka of Ada, OK; sister, Dorreen Brandt-Naab and husband Frank of Muskogee, OK; nephew, Kevin C. Brandt of Muskogee, OK; sister, Twyla Kruger of Streator, IL; brothers, Kevin R. Brandt and Bobby D. Brandt both of Manitou, OK; niece, Amber Bagwell of Edmond, OK; extended family and many friends.
