Lelah Laverne Balogh December 30, 1930 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Lelah Laverne (Gearhart) Balogh, age 88, of Mayville, MI went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2019 at Satchells Christian Retirement Home in Caro, MI. She was born December 30, 1930 in Geistown, PA to the late George and Opal (Knavel) Gearhart. Lelah married Steve Balogh on January 27, 1951 at Dunmeyer Lutheran Church in Elton, PA.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. Lelah is survived by her husband, Steve; daughters, Rosanna (Andy) Mahalic of Morristown,TN, Charla (Robert) Phillips of New Boston, MI, and Dorinda Krueger of Arlinton, MN; one son, Terry (Raetta) Balogh of Mayville, MI; one sister, JoAnn Balogh; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Lelah was preceded in death by a son, Stevie Brian Balogh; her parents; brother, Kermit Gearhart.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville, MI with Pastor Terry Balogh officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI.
