Lena Biege October 27, 1920-March 2, 2019 Lena Biege, 98, of La Porte, IN, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home in La Porte, IN. She was born October 27, 1920 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Harry Sobko and Tina (Huminuk) Sobko. Lena enjoyed spending time outside tending to her yard and watching the Cubs play.

Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. On September 2, 1939, in La Porte, Indiana, she married James Kendall Biege who preceded in death October 7, 1990. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Sally) Biege of La Porte, IN; two granddaughters, Tina (Garry) Bowers of La Porte, IN, Julie Muller of La Porte, IN; two great-granddaughters, Emily (Kirk) Epps of GA, Breanna (Joel) Young of Indianapolis, IN; two great-grandsons, Jacob Bowers of La Porte, IN, Cpl Zachary Muller; three great-great-grandchildren, Avery Epps of GA, Olivia Epps of GA, and Collin Young of Indianapolis, IN.

Lena was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, Robert Sobko, sister, Virginia Loeffler, and grandson-in-law, Thomas Muller. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. , La Porte, IN where private services are being held.
