She was born on December 16th, 1928 to parents Frank & Stana. On September 4, 1948 she married Matt Osterman.

She was a resident of Ironwood her entire life. Lena worked at Connie’s Supper Club for several years. She was active in various church groups.

She enjoyed several crafts including knitting, crocheting & creating dolls that were on showcase in her home. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time walking the countryside with her sister, Kay. Lena is survived by her four sons, Jerry “Ozzie” (Julie) Osterman and Rick Osterman, both of Ironwood, Greg Osterman of Tomah, WI and Darin (Melanie) Osterman of Greenleaf, WI; four grandsons, Cory Osterman, Nathan Osterman, Matthew Osterman & Clayton Tucker and two great grandsons, Logan & Parker Osterman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matt and grandson, Ryan Osterman. She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers & sisters, Steve, Rudy, Emil, Rose Grayson, Julia Contos and Kay Rigoni. The family would like to thank all of those that helped Lena over the years with snow removal, lawn care, shopping, rides and medical care.

Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Church, 8051 E, Mill St., Bessemer, MI at 11am on Saturday, January 12th with a Memorial service to follow at noon. McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, is assisting the family.
