Life Story for Lenore Shanley (Schetter) Lenore E. Shanley, 89, of Cortlandt Manor, passed away on June 1, 2018. She was born on April 7, 1929 in the Bronx, NY. Lenore was the Office Manager for Yorktown Printing for many years.

She was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Putnam Valley, was a longtime member of Van Cortlandtville Historical Society and a member of Nor-Cort Senior Citizens. Lenore was a Chaplain at HVHC for over 20 years and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, James (Marilyn) Shanley, daughters: Susan (John) Albano and Loren(Frank) Sim, 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Shanley on January 13, 2002. Lenore was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, June 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6th at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church; 65 Oscawana Lake Rd; Putnam Valley, NY 10579, will be appreciated by the family.
