Trahan Freeland, MI Passed away after a brief illness Thursday evening, January 3, 2019 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Skip was age 68. Skip was born March 19, 1950 to the late Leo and Eleanor Trahan.

Skip has resided in the Tri-City area for 60 years. Surviving family include his loving wife of 48 years, Rita, his Sons Jason (Amy) and their children Kayla and Anton of Chesapeake, VA. , Jeffry (Amanda) and their children Ava and Olivia of Grand Rapids, MI.

Skip enjoyed golfing and he loved traveling with his wife. He especially looked forward to his yearly winter trips to South Padre Island. Skip was incredibly proud of his sons and he so loved his grandchildren, and spending as much time making memories with them as he could.

Skip is a veteran who proudly served our Country in both the United States Army as well as the United States Coast Guard, retiring after 31 years of service. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday January 8, 2019 at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, Freeland. Rev.

Kayla Roosa will officiate. Cremation will follow after services. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington St. on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U. S. Coast Guard. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Multiple Sclerosis Society and/or the Henry Ford Cancer Institute.
