Obituary for Leo Tyson Dirr It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Leo Tyson Dirr. He was born on April 19, 1977 to Marcus Daniel Dirr and DeAnn Olson Dirr. He graduated from Bonneville High School and attended Weber State University and received his BA in Communication with an emphasis in journalism.

He was a member of Weber State University’s chapter of “The Society of Professional Journalists”. In 2000, he won first place in the nation for general news reporting. He loved to write and loved poetry.

He worked for various newspapers including the Ogden Standard Examiner, Salt Lake Deseret News, and The Spectrum in St George. He also worked for Grow America, Kaysville Sportsplex and as Content Marketing Manager at InsideSales.com. He owned his own business called “The Generosity Engine”, where he helped people achieve their goals through faith, love and generosity.

His favorite saying, “Amazing things happen when you measure your life in smiles per hour”. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission to the Mexico Tijuana mission.

He was preceded in death by his mother DeAnn Olson Dirr Jackson, and his grandparents. He is survived by his father Marcus Daniel Dirr, his step-mother LeAnn Meyerhoffer Dirr, his step-father Wayne Jackson, and a very special aunt Marie Speth. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Arrangements under the direction of Premier Funeral Home. No formal services will be held. Rest in peace dear son.
