Leona V. Giffin, 98, of Unionport, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Valley Hospice. She was born November 20, 1919 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late James & Alma Layfield McNemar. She was a member of Unionport U.M. Church.

Leona was preceded in death by her husband William E. “Ed” Giffin; daughter Janet Lee Giffin; daughters-in-law Susan & Joyce Giffin; brother Delbert E. McNemar and sisters Murldine Snodgrass, Maxine Roush & Edna Cline. Leona is survived by her children Donald Giffin, Gerald “Joe” (Susan) Giffin, Linda (Richard) Brownlee and Carolyn (Dave) Taylor; five grandchildren; eight great and seven great great grandchildren; and sister Elsie (Ron) Crouch. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Sunday 1-4 p.m., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev.

Deborah Kellar officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben.
