Leonard Dillion, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:13am at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Ohio. He was born on April 12, 1934 in Union County, Ohio, to Harry and Florence (Holycross) Dillion. Leonard is survived by his brother, Harry “Red” (Peggy) Dillion of Harpster, and a sister, Mary Ethel Davey of Arlington, Texas, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Leo, and Harold, and sisters: Louise, Imogene, Carrie, Margaret, Patricia, Virginia and Charlotte. Leonard was a 1952 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to serve his country serving in the US Army. He owned and operated his own blacktop service business until his retirement.

In his early years, he had worked for Homer Sammet, Wyandot Dolomite, and US Construction. Leonard was a life member of BPOE #83 in Upper Sandusky, and also a member of Stone Crossing. For hobbies he enjoyed working and collecting old cars and working on tractors.

Private graveside services for Leonard Dillion will be held at Old Mission Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Council on Aging and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
