OBITUARY Leopoldo Garza March 9, 1924 – October 2, 2018 Leopoldo Garza entered eternal rest on October 2, 2018 at the blessed age of 94. Born on March 9, 1924 in Huinala, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Bruno and Eufemia (Elizondo) Garza; he now reunites with his parents, half-brother Manuel Garza, sisters: Esther Gonzalez, Claudina Trevino, Evelia Garza, Lydia Hinajosa; and son Leopoldo Garza Jr. Leopoldo had a green thumb and took pleasure in gardening. He enjoyed watching all sports, cooking, baking, and swimming in his free time.

He also liked pressing his luck gambling on occasion. His fondest moments were spent with family and friends by his side as he loved being in their presence. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Linda (Juan) Martinez and Irma (Hugo) Espejel; grandchildren: Juan Alberto, Julio Alejandro, Linda Angelita, Hugo Edson, Jessica Berenice, Alan Joseph; great-grandchildren: Candace, Emelia, Maximiliano, Joaquin; great-great-grandson, James; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1600 St. Cloud, with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II. Please visit the online guest book for expressions of sympathy and shared memories.
