He is preceded in death by his father, grandmother Matilde Pacheco; daughter Melanie Martinez; wife Mary Martinez; siblings Adolph Martinez, Lillian Olguin, Juanita Martinez and Orlando (Elias) Santistevan; nephew Angello Trujillo Jr; nieces Nadine Crocker, Anecia Montoya, and Orlena Stuart.

He is survived by his Mother Sara Martinez; daughter Brenda (Stephanie) Duran; siblings Bob Martinez, Rose Romero, Tina Gallegos, Eddie Martinez, Louie Martinez, Lucille Trujillo, Fred Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Pauline Sisneros, Angelina Martinez, Benito Martinez, Dorothy Abalos and Bernadette Martinez; grandchildren Anna Esquibel, Jose Vigil, Vincent Tafoya, Angelica Martinez, Tobias Martinez, and Isabel Martinez; great granddaughter Azianna Esquibel; numerous other nieces and nephews. He collected military items, antiques, enjoyed fishing, and camping. His favorite music was oldies and spanish.

His family described him as very quiet, private, a good son, hardworking, humorous, dedicated, and a big heart. He brought lots of laughter to each one sharing his stories. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
