Obituary of LeRoy Barnes LEROY J. BARNES January 13, 1938 – September 16, 2018 Chester, NY LeRoy J. Barnes, 80, of Chester, NY, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Highland Rehabilitation in Middletown, NY. LeRoy was born January 13, 1938 in Goshen, NY, the son of Roy Barnes and June (Ingersol) Barnes. He graduated Goshen High School in 1954 and was a member of Carpenter Union Local 279.

He is survived by his wife, Amy R. Barnes; children, Carri Kirkland (Jerry), Cathi Henriquez, Kim Palkoski (Robert), James Barnes (Monica) and Julie Barnes (Randy); brother, Ronald Barnes (Elaine); sisters, Marie Pillmeier (Michael), Nancy Babb; seven grandchildren; nieces and a nephew. LeRoy was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Edward Babb. At LeRoy’s request there will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to your local animal shelter or charity of ones choice. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
