Lester E. Nockman 81 of Hillsboro passed away April 26, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 4, 1936 in Chapman IL to William and Florence Nockman. He married Viola Jones on April 24, 1954 in White City IL.

He worked at Specification Stone in Pana as a heavy machine operator and was a member of Local 965 B out of Springfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker and mowing the grass. He is survived by his wife Viola, children Betty (Eddie) Kuhl of Sorrento, Patty (Jerry) Kellenberger of Taylor Springs, Mary Dwalt of Hillsboro and adoptive daughter Stella (Scott) Meeker of St Louis, two sisters Connie Giller of Litchfield and Louise Ruth of Vandalia, 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and his is favorite pet Ki Ki.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son William “Billy” Nockman. Memorials can be directed to American Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice or Senior Citizens. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
