Linda Marie Henson age 69 of Goreville died on June 7, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. Linda was born in East St. Louis on Aug. 25, 1948, the daughter of James B. and Patricia Joyce Scherby Summers.

She worked as a Truck Driver. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors.

She is survived by her companion Norell “Bud” Walker of Goreville, Children-Dayton Anthony (Daniele) Loyd of Carbondale, Cheryl (Dave) Pope of Waggoner Marvin Parker of Collinsville and Darrel Parker of OK and 13 Grandchildren. Linda is survived by three sisters, Veronica Freimuth of Bellville, Joyce Summers of Caseyville and Melody (Gerald) Ackerman of Lake of the Ozarks. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Ronald O. Loyd and brothers James B. Summers Jr. and Eugene O. Summers.
