Leora Peggy Brown 81 of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday Oct 23, 2018 at the Cottage at Tremont Ridge Assisted Living. She was born May 18, 1937 in Hillsboro IL to Thomas and Leora M (Safford) Brown. She received her master’s degree in education from Millikin University.

She was a retired teacher in Witt IL, Texas and Kentucky. She was a master Gardner and a member of the Kentucky Teachers Retirement, Pi Beta Phi sorority and a lifelong member of The United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. She married Alan Worms in 1962 and they later divorced.

She is survived by one niece Barbara (Terry) Livingston, one great niece Courtney Reynolds and one Great nephew Kenny Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, one brother in law and one nephew. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be directed to Montgomery County Animal Shelter or Alzheimer’s Association.
