Lewis Delane Garrell, age 75 of Whiteville, entered into rest on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Born & raised in Columbus County, Mr. Garrell was the son of the late Lewis Charles “LC” Garrell and Sarah Hammond Garrell. Also, preceding Mr. Garrell in death was a sister, Janice G. Strauss.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Britt Garrell of the home; children, Kimberly G. Staley and husband, Bobby of Greensboro, Melissa D. Fowler and husband, Jeff of Wilmington, Delane Garrell of Greensboro, Lisa Ward Cain and husband, Phillip of Myrtle Beach; siblings, Patricia G. Glensor of Lake Waccamaw and Linda Chenier of Supply. Mr. Garrell also leaves behind 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn, NC.
