Lewis’ Obituary Lewis Gene Lankford went home to be with our Lord on the evening of February 3rd, 2019. He was born in Alfex, KY in 1935. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and moved to the island of Oahu, Hawaii where he met the love of his life, Barbara Masocol.

They married on February 18th, 1956, after he fiercely pursued her. He continued his Air Force career achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant, until he retired in 1973. He moved to Yukon, OK in 1975 and enjoyed the rest of his life here with his family in the home that made him proud.

He is preceded in death by his son, Darrel. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 63 years; five children: Debbie, Melvin, Lewis Jr., Stuart, and Denise; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He impacted each and every one of our lives and will be missed immensely.

Viewing and visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK. Celebration of Life services are set for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK, with interment following at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
