He was also preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Spencer, and is survived by his sister, Ruth Evelyn Bradford and her husband, Jim Bradford, of Mustang, OK. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Seth Henry Adkins, Audelia Rose Garrison, Brantley William Johnson, Gavin Wade Cocherell, and Landon Wyatt Johnson, and one great-grandchild coming in May. Bill (as his friends called him) never knew a stranger. He loved to talk and would talk to you whether you wanted him to or not.

He loved a good joke and many times while working at TWA he would prank co-workers as they did him too. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator. He chased storms before the storm chasers existed.

He was known as WA5FWD. Bill had many hobbies and loved them all. He loved watching his grandchildren play ball.

He never quite understood why he couldn’t have his power tools at Ranchwood Nursing Home where he resided the last three and a half years. Bill worked for over 42 years, in various positions, for TWA. He also had numerous second jobs and worked very hard and long hours to provide for his family.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Yukon, OK. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019, at First Christian Church, 601 Maple St., Yukon, OK 73099. The family would like to thank the staff at Ranchwood Nursing Home for their love and care.
